1. Who can I send messages to?
You can only send a message to other Providers with whom you have already pre-negotiated a price or have received a procedure. After 60 days you can no longer contact the Provider. We will then require you to use our Customer Service center regarding any issues, comments, complaints regarding the procedure.
2. Can I send messages to Patients?
No you cannot communicate with other patients at this time due to patient privacy.
3. What is HealthSouk?
HealthSouk is a marketplace for health procedures that are elective. We define elective as any procedure where the patient is paying 100% of the procedure cost in cash or credit or financing
4. How does HealthSouk work?
Patients sign up for a free account. Next they search and purchase treatments they need or want from providers who list their services. After placing a small down payment on the procedure cost, the appointment Is booked with the provider and the patient is scheduled for treatment. Next, the patient receives their treatment and makes a clinical and non-clinical rating on the procedure and provider.
5. Is Healthsouk a for-profit or non-profit organization?
Healthsouk is a for-profit company though its services help many underserved people.
6. What's the advantage to using HealthSouk?
We provide clinical AND non-clinical ratings. Many providers on our web site choose to offer warranties which mean that you procedure is covered in case of defect or redo.
7. How many different procedures does Healthsouk offer?
We offer dozens of procedures but are adding several new procedures daily!
8. Does HealthSouk allow me to bid on international doctors and procedures?
Yes, you can bid on procedures from providers abroad. However, our site is to help promote patients ability to find affordable and quality care locally. One caveat is that malpractice lawsuits and standard of care in a foreign country may differ from your own home country
9. How many countries does HealthSouk list providers in?
We have providers all over the world. Therefore a patient in England should be able to find a doctor in England to perform their procedure. You can easily find a local provider in your area!
10. What licensing and certifications does HealthSouk have?
HealthSouk is HIPAA-compliant, PCI-compliant and digitally-signed by globalsign. We use the highest level of security on all of our servers
11. Is HealthSouk certified by the AMA?
No, the AMA does not certify online marketplaces.
12. Is HealthSouk certified by the APA?
No, the AMA does not certify online marketplaces.
13. Is HealthSouk certified by the FDA?
No, the FDA does not certify online marketplaces.
15. What If I don't know what procedure I need?
We recommend that you use our system to first request a consultation or exam for your requested procedure whenever possible
16. How do I create my profile?
Simply create an account for free and login. Then click Settings -> Profile. It is recommended that you fill this area out in order to use the site effectively. Your medical history and other preferences are optional and recommended but not required
17. What information will I be asked to provide in order to create my HealthSouk Profile?
To create an account you are only required to include your first name, last name and email address. We recommend you input your address as well and a photo but this is optional
18. How do I edit my profile?
Login to your account. Next go to Settings -> Profile and make your needed changes. Next click Save Changes
19. How do I delete my profile?
Please send an email to administrator@healthsouk.com or simply delete the settings in your account.
20. Once I delete my profile, can I make a new one?
No you cannot.
21. If I delete my profile, will I be responsible to pay for any active bids?
For any accepted bids you will be required. We cannot delete your profile if you have active payments to be made to a provider, have a history of using in-house financing on our system or you choose not to
22. How do I delete my account?
Please send an email to administrator@healthsouk.com or simply delete any information in the Settings in your account.
23. Can I have more than one profile on HealthSouk?
No, only one profile per patient is allowed.
24. Can I use HealthSouk to bid on procedures for my children/dependents?
Yes, as long as you are the legal guardian and/or parent with custody of the child
25. If so, can I/Should I make a separate HealthSouk profile for each one of my children/dependents?
Yes, a separate account for each child or dependent needs to be created with a separate email address.
